We are excited to announce that Mercedes Ellington will be an honored guest and speaker at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s Tribute Concert on March 15, 2025, marking the 50th anniversary of Duke Ellington’s passing.

The concert will feature iconic works by Duke Ellington, including Go Lucky Local, Three Black Kings, New World A-Comin’, and Night Creature, performed by jazz and classical musicians. Mercedes will share personal insights on her grandfather’s legacy during the program, adding a special touch to this unforgettable evening.

The concert will be conducted by Jonathon Heyward, with performances by Cyrus Chestnut, the Peabody Jazz Ensemble, and members of the Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestras and OrchKids.
